
In 2007, the FOOF! brand producer sponsored prizes for winners of theMATMIX.pl - Internet Mathematical Competition, organized by the S. Żeromski Secondary School in Warsaw.
The main prizes were two laptops presented to the most persistent participants. MATMIX.pl mathematical competition consisted of two stages. During the first stage, which lasted almost 4 months, participants solved problems at home every week and provided answers via Internet in the website. 142 best and most persistent participants were invited to the second stage and divided into two categories. The first category included pupils from the 3rd grade of lower secondary and first grades of upper secondary schools.
The FOOF! brand forum appeared in the Internet in April 2007. Initially, it was to serve as a means of communication with end customers and a place where they would get professional answers to questions regarding GSM related problems. New areas have been regularly added, which became the common ground for the forum users. Interesting competitions started, with many participants involved in the brand consciousness creation. The will to participate on the part of many brand enthusiast from outside of the company was a nice surprise. They volunteered to moderate the selected areas of the forum. The company has been improving methods of communication and development, following the market trends.
A number of competitions have been realised in the forum history: Rozkręć Forum [Activate Forum], FOOF – Tropiciel [Explorer], FOOF – Designer, Holiday Competition and the RozDaFFka [Giveaway] program
RozDaFFka is a program, which allows end customers to test new products absolutely free of charge. The company expects customers to express their opinions about products’ features and usefulness. The general aim of the program is to improve new products and test customers’ expectations. Thanks to the program, they shall receive products which perfectly fulfil their needs. Free of charge deliveries are planned four times a year. The program is also created by participants themselves and develops under the influence of their reactions and behaviours, giving room for evolution or change of direction. Participants log in at www.rozdaffka.pl, where they submit their reports and get points in return. The most active participants receive extra prices for their valuable comments.
An Internet advertising campaign was planned in order to gain the program participants.
A very interesting competition was held in September 2007. Participants were to find out unique mobile phone accessories and present them in the FOOF! forum. The forum participants were very enthusiastic about the idea and posted pictures, links and descriptions of the futuristic, special and practical gadgets. The Samsung E-250 mobile phone, key rings and phone cases were the competition prices. One of the ideas – a phone holder- was implemented and the product was introduced to the market under the FOOF! brand.
After a great success of the Explorer, another competition was announced. The idea was to present a design in any technique for a FOOF! mascot at forum.foof.pl. The ideas could refer to the associations with the brand name, target group, packaging or products. Participants could present an unlimited number of their imaginative creations. The first prize was the phone Samsung M300, the second and third - FOOF! Mp3 player, and consolation prizes – five sets: a battery+ FOOF! case for a mobile phone. The condition for receiving the prize was to transfer the design copyright to TelForceOne SA. The competition took place from October 16 to November 30, 2007.
